I've lived in Casablanca and other areas of Morocco for 5 years but I left last September. Moroccans are closed off socially when it comes to foreigners especially from the U S. I experienced their attempts at thievery daily purchasing things transportation etc. Walking around is a chore too people harassing me and other foreigners for money, and yes it's a constant thing even when trying to eat at a restaurant. They'll come up to the table and ask for money happened everytime I was out. There's nothing pleasant about the Moroccan mindset promise.
Most people here are beggers, even educated, working people, they are all con-artists.
they will ask for money .. or a loan with no intention of paying back .... women ask for money or taking them shopping ... every day thing... they are selfish , self centered people ... if you are from Europe or USA women and men are after visa ... bunch of con-artists. divorce rate is very high because of it....
Keep small change for small taxi.. they cheat you ... even at hyper-market they short change you ....
not a place to visit nor live ... dishonesty is way of life.
buyer be aware.... be safe - stay safe
