I have gone through most of the people made comments about Casa.I wanted to move there in the center or sett lite of Casa. To my wonder when a Moroccan Engineer is having a Salary of US$200 PM or bit more how the city can be very expensive then London. If the wages r up to this level by economic laws you can not hang the locals with very high price this is a global law.If the salaries are low the food and and other consumers items must be low .
I am from Pakistan good experienced engineer take minimum salary not less then 2000 US$ in his pocket in Pakistan but still we have food transportation clothing are still in our reach not that expensive.House or a villa in good location 5 bed room furnished with garden and parking for 5 to 7 cars are available between 1000 to 1500 US$ per month.
By the way If anybody can help me that 3 or 4 bed room flat outside Casablanca how much it will cost or how much the rent will be .How much money one must invest in real estate to get residence visa etc.Does anybody can explain that Moroccan society speak Arabic ,French and English all in places of daily requirement.

Casablanca is bloody expensive if you want to live here according to western standard and for certain things even more than London ( try to go to any supermarket and compare the costs of cosmetic products with London). The problem here is that whatever is standard in europe, here is considered luxury . To give you an example, go out and have a wood oven pizza in a nice restaurant is more expensive ( way more) than have the same quality pizza in London ( the price here was 190 mad which is 17 euros for a simple pizza). Obviously there are cheaper alternatives to live here but we are not making a like for like comparison with the european standards,

I think some are mistaken here, as wa talking about casablanca !!
Expensive for no reason, apart that its the hearbeat of moroccos economy. Comfortable with 1500 USD, thats logic. Living as domestic with 200USD, thats realistic !!
Tnx to #mad and #nawfal everything is said !!

I was stationed in Morocco back in the late 70's I am looking for a nice flat for a single person in the heart of the city. I am seeking to buy property as is within the next year or so, so looking forward to seeing some nice flats in this areas.

I tend to agree with Nawfal on the cost of living and earning potential to support it. But I agree with Fatia that Morocco is a "perfect" place: nice weather, great, friendly people, good food and something about the place makes you happy.

Mounir, is the apartment still for sale? which area is it located in?
#Tahir on Sep 19, 2016 :
I was visit in Morocco few month ago, as per my experience living cost much cheap compare to Bahrain Dubai Qatar Oman Kuwait approximately 60℅ lower price,
Note: I am talking about standard living life in Morocco, luxury life style there is no limit,
Few local are cheating you but majority locals very nice and humble persons compare to arabs

I think people exaggerate about the high cost of living in Morocco. I am a retired US citizen and I live in Morocco comfortable on a salay of $ 1500.
#Fatia on Apr 04, 2015 :
Nawfal i dont think you are totally right things has changed a lot
Morocco is the perfect place where everybody can survive.
#nawfal on Mar 18, 2015 :
I am Moroccan and I lived in New Zealand, Australia and Malaysia. Living expenses in Morocco is bloody expensive. We are an agriculture and exporter country of veg and fruits yet a medium income citizen can afford to buy! We have several thousand kilometres of coast (Atlantic & Mediterranean ) and the majority of Moroccans only can afford to consume sardines. Utilities like electricity, cooking gas, water etc are very expensive. If you are poor or medium class citizen and you fall sick then you are done for. Services at public hospitals are chargeable and service is below 0. You only can survive if you are wealthy and have a good salary. To sum up, to survive in Morocco you need to be someone or a EU retired from US, Canada, Australia, NZ or any developed country.
