Lol, good luck to find a flat for EUR 640, you can add 100 or 150, rents are getting very expenses.

Bratislava is a sleepy capital and very different from a Budapest or Prague.

The issue now as of September 2022 is like what we are seeing in Budapest and Prague too, low supply of rental units caused by a lack of building. Takes a while to get a building permit apparently.

The office building complex down the street from me about 500meters took 23 years from start to finish to build and changed contractor twice during the process.

I got job offer in bratislava. Is 3500 gross enough for 2 person?

You should be able to get by with 1100 euros, but it's not a good salary IMO. Maybe try other Slovak cities with the same pay, or Vienna with higher pay.

Bratislava has a healthy mix of expats. Most in my experiemce are nicer than the expats in Prague and in Sofia whre I come from. I thibk the locals in Bra are more reserved but also more polite and less aggressive there than in Sofia or Prague.

#Anna on Oct 24, 2018: "hi, how much does it cost 1 kg of sovietic candies". Soviet candies were never available in Slovakia (former communist Czechoslovakia). Those who travelled to the former Soviet Union used to bring them to Slovakia as souvenirs.

#Anonymous In the past, I also got job offer with 1100 eur gross per month but after I calculated the living costs in Bratislava I had decided to decline the job offer...
