I have used a dozen taxis in side alanya and they ALL overcharge.It does not matter if your hotel rings then, you pick one from a taxi rank or a shop rings one for you. They all want a currency that is not their own. " 10 euros" when you say lira they say 300. Each journey has been a minimum 1 5 kn and the longest 3 1 kn done with GPS on my phone the fares should be between 70tl and 150tl including a little tip but when you tell them what it should be a loud argument starts. Every time I get in a taxi I say put your meter on at least three times and this is ignored every time. They are blatantly ripping off holiday makers who after this will not return to your country. It they do not display a fare they should give the ride for free by law. See how many would put the meter on then.
