Quality of Life in Moratuwa, Sri Lanka

Corruption is the biggest problem in this town. Drug dealers are warned by the Police prior to raids so no busts are ever made. Burglaries and robberies are on very high levels with no arrests and certainly no prosecutions. Touting by the lawyers is a very common occurrence here, same lawyers keep getting all Police cases. The MUNICIPAL COUNCIL is another highly corrupt institution, the MAYOR himself is notorious fr his bribe taking and a former a taxi driver now a very wealthy man. All council members are wealthy and nothing gets gets done without a bribe. The Traffic Police are not doing enough to nab errants taxi drivers and other miscreants. Garbage is thrown all over and vendors dump trash in deserted lanes. This will NEVER CHANGE.
