We have one of the most corrupt governments in the EU by a long shot, with taxes that range from 40-70% (That's not an error btw, it's genuinely that), so no... we don't have good quality of life... we have an astonishing country with great climate, lots of resources, a beautiful language, awesome people, ... that's slowly being destroyed by one guy who tramples with elections and makes policies just to get votes and achieve his communist dream...
Like, you will have a blast and you will enjoy life, but you will own nothing in 20 years time and there won't be even Spaniards in the country left... Just enjoy it while you can
Great public transportation, bad but not terrible cycling infrastructure. The city is beautiful and very walkable, and the suburbs are well-connected. The airport is among the best.
Good weather and friendly people on the outside, but Spaniards turn out to be pretty close-minded.
Who could ask for more ?
Madrid overall has one of the best climates among European capitals, because of decent amount of sunshine and light, undisturbing rain pattern (sparse, but still not desert, and decently spread compared to Lisbon with excessive winter rain).
Real ovens are Las Vegas or Phoenix with 40+C highs as a norm. And the worst experience is humid ovens as in UAE or Qatar...
Been living here for a year now, pricing and facilities are good, and these people sure know how to party.
