I looks like Alex bought a crappy house and vents his frustration here.

I bought a beautiful 3 bedroom appartment in the city center for 240.000 and the quality is superb.

So, as anywhere... get to know some good agents first before buying.

Prices in Valencia are crazy.
Don't be tricked by prices on Idealista. In Spain you pay 10% taxes any time you buying apartment! Real estate commissions are crazy.
Besides, they have two different numbers for apartment area in square meters - "building" and "real", they are different.
So, if you see 100m apartment for 200000 euro don't be fooled.
Finally, you'll find that you pay 15..20% more, and the real area is 88m.

The quality of housing is terrible!
I sold my apartment (2600 euro/ sq.meter) in my country and I can't buy literally ANYTHING normal here!
