I have been to lisbon many times and my choice for both long breaks and short. It is a wonderful mix of nationalities and tolerance of all cultures is very high compared to other cities in southern europe.Rents are high but then its the same elsewhere in Europe. Cost of living such as dining out, groceries and especially taxi fares are reasonable. Like all major capitals it has its good areas and bad ones, but overall areas such as Santos and Estrela are wonderful. Am looking at one day settling in Portugal having been to many other cities - especially nothern europe where tolerance of other cultures are low. The great thing about Lisbon is you can live on a relatively low income however, there are neighbourhoods that are above average in price - you get what you pay for. Food is exceptional and frsh and supermarkets well stocked. Local produce of meat and vegies are of high quality. My city to go to when I need a break.

I’m looking for a one bedroom, pet friendly apartment outside Lisbon city center as a permanent residence for the end of 2022. It also needs to be on the first floor with parking available.
