Most expats that live here are here because you can live very cheap. My guest house cost $ 120 U.S.D a month, plus water and electric, cable tv, fridge, hot water shower, ac/fan with shared balcony.
Trash is everywhere in the city and on the beaches, the locals just do not care about their beaches. Cambodian food is not that tasty compared to Thailand and Vietnam, but plenty of choices for western food, prices depend on where you eat, cold draft beer will run you from 50 cents to a dollar, so if you want to drink your self to death, this is the place
If you pick up any ladies of the night? BE careful, they may drug you and if you pass out from being to drunk? Fair warning!! just do short time and wear a condom, don't go bare back!!
So there is a lot of dust in the air, always sweeping my room floor, too many cats here, may keep you up late at night.
The Cambodians are pretty friendly, lack education, they just don't care about the environment, so if you like plastic on the beaches? You will love it here
If you need to go to the hospital? Royal Phnom Penh is up to date, built around 2015 near the airport.

I don´t understand Cambodian People. You can see trash everywhere. They burn trash and plastic and they don´t care. I think they don´t have good education system and the city council and police just don´t care. I stay in Sihanoukville (a tourist town) and many Khmer People are hostile against foreigners. In the evening it´s very dangerous to go outside. There are many criminals and they burn plastic and trash everywhere.

I will leave Sihanoukville soon it´s really terrible für tourists. A lot of tourist-businesses have to close because it´s too difficult to make money there.
