What I don't get it the fact that milk in Detroit is around $2.93 a gallon, but milk in Cadillac and Traverse is $.99-$1.99 a gallon. Found this price gouge while on vacation. I live in Ohio where our town is also a poverty stricken town, and our milk is also around $3.00/gal or more. You would think that it would make sense to make it cheaper so the impoverished could maybe afford to buy the milk. Oh wait, that doesn't make any sense because most in these areas are receiving food stamps ! So not only do I get stuck paying a high price for my milk, but I also pay so others can pay those high prices for milk. Way for the companies to stick it to the poor, the tax payers and the govt. all in one big shebang !
