We have been to St. Thomas 4 times. Last time back in Sept. 2020 will be our last time. Sadly the island has took a turn for the worse. Poverty and Unemployment is high. Garbage all over the place, run down falling apart. Stay away!

Yeah, that is nice you got the opinion of travelers there on what the felt the crime rate is like. 52 murders per 100,000 in 2017 only St. Louis, having its most murderous year of the decade, and Baltimore had more, and they are cities when the the USVI is a territory that should be compared to states. This isn't an anomaly, in 2010 the USVI was the World's second most murderous place, at 60 per 100k right behind Honduras' 60.2 per 100k.

MY father was murderd in the st thomas island in late 70 car jacked beat my mother with lead pipe lrft her for dead I think they caught someone I dont know how much become of it I personally would not go there
