I was in Siedlce and the region some 20 times in the last 4-5 years. Also stayed overnight. I visited with people in all ages and not always very "Polish-local-looking". I Never encountered any violence or a sense of danger. I am quite shocked to read some of the comments and can't make up where it comes from.

in Warsaw you have no problem with crime. The crime starts when you drive into the Poviat a area where Siedlce, Lukow, and Sokołów is located and other nearby villages, this is because the government of these places has no money for you people and the young people have no money to move out to bigger safe cities like Warsaw, Gdańsk, poznan etc

Here in Malmö Sweden we have a lot of poles from Siedlce, I have been here once to do a documentary on this city that is going to launch in 2020. It’s very poor, children are neglected and the high crime status is unbelievable, almost something that we can compare to 3rd world countries such as Columbia, Brazil, Mexico. You don’t see as much happening in the daylight but take a drive past 11 at night and you will find that it’s not at all safe. The only thing I can say and warn people that are from abroad. Buy some pepper spray at least when walking in the day time. It’s not going to help you in extreme cases but it’s something to start with. Now going a little bit off topic, the food is amazing. And polish people have a very very high standard of food safety, you may not believe me but in Sweden and Uk you are 3x more likely to be food poisoned than in Poland.

Now coming back to the previous topic. When we were in a camera van with our crew from Sweden and England. We spotted a small group of youths in a nearby flat estate. We asked our translator to ask them if we can interview them, later on we found that one of the lads (14 years old) had his hand in his pocket were a small hand pistol was located. The film crew decided to cut short as although they are kids, we found that they are very unpredictable.

Please look out for a documentary on this city it is going to be out in March 2020. By the title of “ The Gates to Siedlce “

If all the polish imigrants in the uk were from Siedlce we would have an issue with Muslims because they would just wipe em out, however we would also be fucked as we would have to fund the British army instead of the police to fight with them. It’s a crazy place with a beautiful criminal history

If your not a knobhead then nothing will happen to you.

few tips

dont look at people
dont get too drunk and start chatting shit as you 10000% will get shot
if you are foreign dont flirt with local girls as the local men wont like it and will probs hurt you
this is 100% true ive lived here for 15 years now so i know whats right and wrong

love this place, and i love how even the gangs, mafia show respect to the citizens, however if you are muslim dont come please, that would just be stupid of you to make that move. even the kebab owners are slowly dissapearing haha and theres is only like 5-8 max in the city
mark henderson on Mar 29, 2019:
everyone is complaining about London, blackpool, manchester Etc. take a trip to this place and you will see what the words "Gang" "Mafia" really mean haha, The funniest thing ive seen when i came here was, two old men in their 60s having a full on MMA fight in the middle of city centre. also two guys chasing eachother in bmw,s down the street, with one of them holding a pistol out the window. MADNESS is all i can say
Gorgio_sufikas on Mar 29, 2019:
A very nice and hot place to go in summer, I’m from Greece and even when I came to Siedlce I thought it was really hot. The women are nice NO MUSLIM here and that’s great because where ever I go on holiday to Spain,Portugal,England etc I see them all time but here isn’t when I properly relaxed in so many years. Polish people are very friendly.

Nice place to go if you want get shot or kidnapped

Went here for a basketball tournament, and one of my mates was beat up for not giving his phone to a random thug. BTW because we didn’t speak polish the police took 4/5 hours to come

For some reason the old ones have been deleted, But i totaly agree with collin here, if you DONT want trouble you wont get it. Its as simple as that. My self i have lived here for 2 years now, moved here 8th of march in 2017, and honestly would not want to move back home. Iam from liverpool and simply life was SH*T, i came here for a summer break with a Polish friend of mine that has worked with me back in england since 2003. and in 2012 i made my first apearance here, And from there it was love at first sight. loved it here and told him, that this is where i want to live. so in 2016 got my citizen ship and work permits and and i started working in a chain (Biedronka) lovely people, Stable hours. ETC, however had to go back to the UK as family issues pop up. so when i came back in 2017 i set up a mortgage, for a small 45m2 flat and jobs a gooden. I have not yet met a polish GF, however im on a lookout haha.

I have lived in this city now for 8 years with my wife and kids, they love it here weather is beautiful, and in the summer (no comment) temperatures hitting easily 42-45 degrees, My kids are mixing in very well with the polish , and that is because they are fluent polish speakers. however one issue that I have seen here is the crime, it is so easy to get mixed into a wrong crowd and end up on a bad part of the city, now when it comes to foreign travelers stay far far and I mean far away from the Blocks. Stay on the path (city centre) because there is a lot of gangs here and they aren’t gangs like where I’m from (UK) I mean they could even end your life, if there is something they don’t like. And keep your car locked please, even in bright daylight as in my expierience it only takes 2 minutes to get it stolen. Stay safe people and don’t take this as a don’t go reason. It is beautiful here and the climate and the people are something else to what is back home. They are generous and will give away their last penny to keep you satisfied.
