Obviously the "Anonymous" gentleman did not have a good experience... but, unless he was pregnant and has direct experience, or a compulsive liar amd truth simply does not matter, I cannot understand his stupid comment about the health requirement. There is a condition called Meditteranean Anaemia, not so common but present in Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and other islands of the Meditteranean. When a man and a woman are both carried of the condition, although they may not be affected themselves, they are advised not to get married, because a child has a very high probability of being affected. I am sure this was not a requirement in the "anonymous" home country... and look at the results!

I have spent few years living there. Until you only smile and make small expenses - all is fine and normal, as everywhere else. Just one example: once I talked to rental car owner, who was not happy about 100 bucks discount due to car malfunction. What happened next -- a coming policeman, obviously his relative or friend, come and said to me he can arrange for me a Penal Law violation if I disagree. This is how this nation, they think, struggle against "foreign invasion". Yes, it sounds really stupid, but just keep in mind that this is the only nation in the whole World having the requirement by Law to check a pregnant woman for the extra mental retard of the baby if this baby has the Greek blood. Requirement, not even advise!! Interesting fact, is it?
