Chennai is by far the safest city in India.
Things happens in big cities but the control is much higher in chennai.
Hope things will not be the same and will be more safer going forward

Chennai is becoming unsafe because of illiterate and village mentality people being accepted into IT companies. IT boom result in heavy demand ... So more villagers moved into Chennai ... And there is so much trash mixed with chennai population ... Villagers watch crappy movies and get infatuated with city girls .... When they don't get what they want they act like goons and show their typical village mentality .... Move IT out of chennai ... Live simple and happy like in the 1980s...throw all villagers back to their native ... PROBLEM SOLVED

Chennai is the capital city of Tamilnadu. I wonder , that is why , it is the most unsafest place too . With the amount of murders happening in Chennai , one should be ashamed , to rate the city , the safest place . Its not the city that decides , if its safest , or not . Its the people living there who decide . When there is no help offered, when someone is being attacked or assaulted ,it makes even heaven ,an unsafe place. Please respond to such situations.

We Indians are very emotional by nature , we watch a patriotic movie and think for the whole day that we should do something for our country. First , help your neighbors , when they are unsafe, then think about serving your nation. We should be ashamed of ourselves about Infosys employee - Swathi's murder in public. No point in writing consoling stories , when we have sacrificed a soul because of our cowardness. Shamless people.
