Lol this is so fake, crime rate was over 64 a few weeks ago now it's 44 with almost 500 contributions... this is clearly manipulated by locals or something to change the perspective of the city.
Catania is easily the most dangerous city in Italy and nothing in here is spot on besides getting stuff from your car stolen, how can Corruption and bribary be below 50 when this city is ran by gangs? And worries of suffer a racist attack over 60??? There's barely inmigrants here, I'm sure all these internet trolls can do better than this and I hope Numbeo does something about these people

I live in Catania, I went to Milan, Florence, Barcelona, Athens, Turin and none was as safe as Catania. The perception here is that it is unsafe because people look menacing, but they're not. While you go to the other places mentioned and you will truly feel what crime is. No wonder Catania is like 20th in crimes in Italy and Milan is 1st. Don't believe the hype.

Stayed here for a week and in that time my friends got robbed and a alcoholic nearly started a fight with me in the square. Lots of drug problems.
