You have to pay for the bags because they are trying to cut back on pollution. All the stores here encourage bringing cloth bags. Some stores do not even have plastic bags anymore. I think it's a good thing, very "green" community. and 7.90 for chips chocolate bar and pop is about the same as Alberta so....nuff said.
