How did you make in-person appointment with tax authorities? What they offer is merely a phone call as far as I know.
I make € 6300 /mth bruto in Utrecht as a sales executive, locals keep € 4000, while as an expat, I keep $4922 netto each month.
Just have a good chat with the tax office (not online, make an appointment. speak to someone in person), and they offer you a good deal.
That is for 2 persons, and you can even find cheaper like 50 euro for 2 persons.
And there's also plenty of "all you can eat" restaurants in the Netherlands, about 50 eur for 2 persons.
