Tampere has schools that give education in different languages. They all follow the Finnish National Curriculum. None of them are international schools. FISTA - (The Finnish International School of Tampere) is wrongly named as it is NOT an international school re the curriculum. It is the English language school - all children at which learn English and Finnish.

All schools are state schools, including FISTA and all are free.

The law changed last year and all Preschools and Kindergartens are also free in Finland - though the hours are limited and municipalities vary over income. So for me they are free. For others there maybe a fee over a certain number of hours.
