Never mind, I just read a few posts down, I understand that I will not be able to make it there on the income I'm receiving. Too bad, looks like a lovely place to live... cheers...

Just wondering, I see the prices here for everything, could a single man, with a medium size dog find a rental property, either 1 bedroom, or studio, on a set monthly income of 1587.00 American $? I would like to start the immigration process if this can be done. As well I am on a lot of meds. Being a disabled American Veteran. I was wondering how I would be able to make it there on that income or would I be able to if someone could answer me please I am 55 years old or I will be next month is there a senior place that I could come to live in to rent for now thank you!

Can someone please tell me the cost of living and the easiest way to become a Canadian citizen. My family is in danger of the hate crimes, I need to get them into safety. We have professionals in our immediate family, what areas of Canada are recommended as English as mainly spoken, cost of living, and what else we will need to consider. The Canadian immigration site is bombarded all week, would it be preferable to get citizenship, visitor pass, work visas? Please help.

$1615.00 US$ translates to $2180.00 C$, and, that value will fluctuate all the time.

Mark Crane: No way can you survive in Canada on $1615.00 per month. Rent and food will take care of that.. You may make it, but then you'd have to saty home all the time and not have any entertainment..

Cost of living in Canada is much higher than where you live now..

I have a question. I am 66 years old and I live on social security. I own a 2005 toyota matrix but I have no other assets really. I recieve $1615.00 per month from social security, before health care premiums. Do I have any realistic chance of being able to survive in Canada on that amount of money? I now live in Wyoming and just barely get by. If cheeto face gets elected I would love to be able to live somewhere in Canada and Cape Bretton looks great.
