I lived there on and off many times over the past 30 years. It has improved significantly recently with the gang crackdown. One major issue in San Salvador is TRAFFIC and aggressive drivers. If you’re not a seasoned “city driver”, you’ll learn quickly. Otherwise, It’s a welcoming place with SO much to explore.
Enjoy !

El Salvador it's on the road to be one of the best countries! Follow the news about developments there.
The Bukele govt is hitting all the right notes. No tolerance for violent crimes and such criminals,
El Salvador is becoming one of the safest countries, it has also been investing in cryptos
and to attract foreign investments, while also investing in infrastructure.
Hopefully it will also take care to make sure buildings are safe from any strong earthquakes.

Housing is outrageously priced especially for what you get. All else is good... usually, unless you really rely on the internet. That can get tricky.

Housing is expensive in El Salvador. Really expensive for the region.
