Yo, cost of living is sky rocketing right now, but salaries aren't really moving that fast nor that much. Houses that are being built right now are near $500k mark. There's a lot of growth happening right now - rebuilding midtown, downtown and new business are attracting a lot of people to move here and looking forward to more economic growth which is great I guess.

Was born here. Lived in ca. For over 30 years. Came back to Reno for retirement after 2 bouts of lymphoma. I like Reno much better than at 50,000 people. I belong to Hrps, Olli , NHS, and Newcomers all of which started in the last 25 years except for NHS which is the oldest organization from 1911, but not well attended during my growing up.
