#urban m sachez - that depends on your lifestyle, and how many people you are talking about. You can rent a decent 3 bdrm apartment or a 1 rm studio for about $700-$750 a month.
I spend approx. $700 a month on food for four people.
Utilities run about $500 month. That includes electricity (with aircon), gas (heat and water heater), water/trash pick-up, cable/internet/phone bundle. But again, I have 4 people in my home, and a home phone, so this would not be your cost per say. Also, some landlords will pay for water/trash pick-up.
Insurance and vehicle gas will truly depend on you, your cars mpg, and your locations (home/work/school etc...)
