The comment by Anonymous struck me. Who would want to visit Uganda or Kampala he asks? Most people coming to Uganda don't come to visit Kampala, they come to see the natural wonders such as the famed mountain gorillas, the mountains etc. Those stopping in Kampala are not the usual tourist, they come to attend conferences, meetings, for business, visiting relatives.
And women don't cling on you unless you go to a red light district, that means you're looking for them.

Still the same... Incorrect prices. It seems these prices were given by bazungu. In the shops and markets where locals buying things prices lower two, three and sometimes four times... Numbeo you should to get info from local people in Uganda...

i left Uganda as a child - courtesy of Idi Amin. I want to go back and stay a few months and relive my memories. Is $1500 canadian adequate to afford a somewhat comfortable stay.
Alex Nesterov on Aug 03, 2022:
I still can see that mostly the prices here is incorrect...

These prices you post here for whites only... I lived in Entebbe from October 2021 to March 2022, visited shops and restaurants for locals which I preferred to buy food and etc, I rented local apartment in place where mostly locals... I also visited places where is whites prefer to buy and rent... they pay for 4 times higher prices... lol

Who would want to visit Uganda let alone Kampala in the first place? Friends visited Kampala and other parts of Uganda and sent me pictures. Trash everywhere on the streets and no sidewalks.Driving on dirt roads in Kampala, laughable.Beggars consume the streets people wearing shabby clothes aggressive women cling to foreigners like a magnet.I saw videos friends sent me too.
