Dear Mrs M, to answer your question. At this time of year in Darwin Australia, all the tourists have left & because the economy is in a downward direction, you should have a choice of accommodation that you can dictate the price that you wish to pay. As there is definitely at present, more supply than demand for property within Darwin N.T. generally.

Hi SIsira Kumara,

Darwin is kind of like the last outpost.. government jobs pay handsomely as does corporate jobs.. Me, I'm semi retired.. so living off my savings.. I imagine Darwin is a pretty wild old town..

There's a drinking culture and the weather can go into extremes with what's known as troppo season..

I sometimes fantasize about moving up there and re-inventing my life as Darwin is so far far away from the rest of Australia it's a great place to start over..

Good luck with your prospects.. lookup government and job websites for work in the fields you're experienced/qualified in and also be open to other things as well..

All the best,

I'm a mechanical engineer by profession & glad to know demand for my occupation & average salary. in addition to that, I would like to know cost of living & health facilities.

Oh man I wish it was 1973 when prices were dirt cheap and you could buy a house on land in Darwin for $20,000 and the cost of living was like $30 per week ..

Now you gotta be a rich bugga to be able to afford the high cost of living... All these well paid Government employees making over $100K a year are doing it sweet...

#wise man??

Wind your neck in your ignorant prick, it's called manners. Sir/Madam is writing etiquette, something you so clearly know nothing about.

Keep your racist redneck mentality to yourself!!
