My ding-a-ling on Nov 18, 2022:
The main problem with this province is pretty much all jobs are low paid. Everyone coming here to get their permanent residency and leave. Province cannot retain people. There’s a mental health crisis and addiction crisis in Charlottetown. It’s not safe to walk around community outreach centre and it is located right next to a school. There are police cars in front of it regularly. Police officer asked my partially blind neighbour to walk other side of the street because of safety concerns. People of Pei are so nice and they think the problem is related to housing shortage. Unfortunately they are all wrong because the source of the problem is addiction. Politicians take tentative precautions instead of permanent solutions. I recommend all people who are walking around downtown, should have good shoes to not to step on a needle. This is based on a newcomer’s personal experience.
