Novosibirsk isn't safe. Too many morons and gapota(bidlo).

I actually feel safer in Novosibirsk than I do in my major city on the East Coast of the US.

Novosibirsk is safe if you are staying within the downtown area. Be wary when going out on a friday night. Buy a pepper spray if you feel you'll need to use it.
