Hi #marwa. It really depends. But, for sure in Ankara you would live more comfortable with that 600TL than Ist. since Ank is cheaper in almost everything. However, there is that world-known Bosphorus in Ist which cannot be compared with any place in Ank!

I am considering a job offer at one of the universities. The pay is about 2200 a month but no housing. I also am bringing two children so we need at least a 2 to 3 bedroom. Will this pay cover the cost of living with two children and their school fees?

#Kursat on Jun 09, 2013 :
Yes Peter that's a good offer. You'll be fine.
#Laura on May 24, 2013 :
@Peter: you could live well with $4800 and a furnished apartment anywhere in the world, I'd think!
#Emre on Mar 25, 2013 :
#Peter you can live very well in Ankara with that package.
#Peter on Mar 07, 2013 :
I am considering taking a job in Turkey for $4800.00 USD per month plus free 2 bedroom semi-furnished apartment including utilities and $250.00 USD food allowance per week. Can I live well?
