I live in the center of Stuttgart for 5 years and I can agree on everything except of 2 topics!

First of all I love the supermarkets here in germany. You can get everything there and the prices are propably the best in the world but only when you buy all the cheap stuff from the cheap brands such as "ja" or "gut&günstig" or the house brand of each supermarket.

The price of drinks in a restaurant or cafe that are showen there are the minimum prices. Add at least 50 cents to every price.
The meal prices are o.k! The cheapest regular meal in a (fastfood-)restaurant would be to go to a Kebap place and have a 4,50€ Döner Kebap (minimum price) and a 2,50€Coke (minumum price) and a little piece of baklava as dessert 1.50€ (minimum price). Total 8.50€ That's by the way the statutory minimum wage per hour.
When you go to a real regular restaurant you pay about 8-10€ for the cheapest regular meal on the menu without any drink or dessert.
So a mid range three course menu is minimum 20 Euro for a single person! So average price must be higher

Second thing I don't agree is the rent. The cheapest rent in the center I ever heard of was 600€ for a small 32m2 Apartment.

Outside the city is ok! I live 10km away from the city and pay 400€ for 43m2 and I am lucky to have found such a cheap but beautiful place

I would like to ask one question.... What are the best options of accommodation available near (TU STUTTGART)Stuttgart vahingen suburb ? What is the average rent cost?
#Mermo on May 18, 2015 :
Actually Andreas it sounds about right since this is the average in any bakery, if not more, backwerk for example. its around 2 euros
the only water that is for 19 cents is JA and that is not what you pay directly, we pay more and you receive a ´pfand= refund´later on after you recycle the bottle
#Georgian Pirvu on Nov 20, 2014 :
The rent price per Month is more bigger than here. You won't find any 1 bedroom apartment in center of stuttgart with 600 euro... it's around 900-1000 euro

I don't know where on earth you go shopping. your prices are way above the real prices. buying a 1.5L water bottle in Aldi costs 19 cent, and similar disproportions appear in all the other prices you put here. I think you need some tour in Aldi, Lidl, Kaufland and Co.
