For everyone here!
1.Azerbaijan- don't worry about safety life in any city of Azerbaijan! especially with family! Our people like the people come to us with families. and help them in any situations!

2. Prices are different. if you will find one good person ( it's not difficult) you can manage you salary in range from 2000-3000 USD for family or 1000-1500 USD for one person.

3. Foods. There is natural foods!!! If company will provide. From 1000 USD you can save 200-500 USD for one person or 1000-1500 USD for family from 2500-3000 USD.
If any problems or questions write to me to karakhanli09@mail.ru Rovshan Ibadov

I am traveling to Azerbaijan, Baku. How much would cost to stay in a hotel including meals?
#Fatima on Jul 07, 2014 :
Yasoda: you can have a good living in Azerbaijan with 1000-1500 Manat in Azerbaijan if you don't want to choose to live in the expensive district of city.
#Yasoda on Jun 06, 2014 :
Hi all,

I've been offered a job in Baku that's paying $3000US/Mth or about $2300 Manat...I would be bringing my hubby and 2 young daughters...do you think we could live a comfortable life on that income? And what about savings? I have to pay housing, utilities etc. and the only thing I get extra is free schooling for my girls...We don't need to live in the city center or anywhere expensive but I want somewhere safe, convenient and with modern amenities...

Any other advice or tips are welcomed...
#Praful on Feb 14, 2014 :
Yes its true... the local government salaries are less then the cheapest apartment available in the city :)...
#Jersey on Dec 03, 2013 :
#Janka

as a person from Azerbaijan, I can tell you, it is possible, the salary lower than the rent. as teacher's salary is 240 AZN, rent in the city center for 1 bedroom apartment is higher than 500 azn. in outside of the city rent is 300 azn. mortgage is 8% and if you are a teacher, you should pay for 25 years monthly 400 azn for mortgage, and prepay for 40% of the cost of the house
#monsuru on Jun 11, 2013 :
my name is monsuru from nigeria i will like to come to azerbaijan for like 2mouth pleas huu can give me full infomasion on it
thanks
#JR on May 10, 2012 :
Janka, that is because most people don't rent but own a property (most of which were privatized apartments left over from the Soviet times). New generations of people who did not inherit a property are in trouble. I don't think this trend is sustainable for a long period of time.
#Mladen on Apr 05, 2012 :
Janka, when economy is screwed up, people cannot live from their salary. I'm not sure how's the thing in Baku, would like to get more reportees for Baku.
#Janka on Apr 05, 2012 :
Its very interesting, but i dont quite understand how can be the chepeast rent higher than average monthly salary... Based onn this I have to doubt information presented.
