Trier is great place to live in as an expat as well ..I m from india ..and the people are great the city is cool ..and you have great history behind the city ..the city is small and everything is near by ,the things aren't that cheap though but its average I would say ..feels safe and the people are class no homeless people around ..and you really feel great to live here.. having Luxembourg very close you can visit this country very often
