Perhaps the biggest (and arguably only) advantage of living in PG in comparison to other cities in BC is the lower rental/property prices. The three main disadvantages are the freaking cold winters (below freezing temperatures are the norm for the majority of the year), higher crime rates than other cities in BC related to gang activity and drugs, and lastly the smell in the city due to pulp mills.
