There's no way the average salary is $3,200 after tax. Even at $20/hr × 80 hrs is $1,600×2=
3,200 before tax and minimum wage certainly isn't $20/hr. So maybe $3,000 - tax/cpp/ei etc = $2,500
Now subtract $2,000 rent and you're left with $500. Groceries run $200 a week if you starve yourself and fast a few days.
So if this is the case in Kelowna then we are SLAVES!! Working just to pay Shelter and Food is considered slavery in any city!!
