Anonymous, yes it is very expensive to rent in Cartagena, esp if you are looking at areas such as Bocagrande, Centro historico or Manga. I live in Pie de la popa where it is middle of the road, the further out you go the cheaper it is, but still more than other cities in Colombia.

I am guessing that these prices, especially the rent/services are based on level 6 prices, depending where you live the price varies, I live in level 4 and we pay around 200,000 in gas, elec, water bills.

Is rent really this much more expensive than Bogota and medellin? All the other prices listed here are less but rent is almost 3x as much?
