3,3k Is enough to live very good but honestly you could choose more affordable cities (Florence or Bologna f.e.) and with a Better quality of life

I'm a 49 year old American living in a very expensive area Porta Nuova/Repubblica and crime in Milan has increased dramatically since lockdown. If you read Italian and you read MilanoToday (you can use an App to translate) you'll read about the daily violent and non violent crimes. I used to love taking the metro and I haven't been on it on my own in nearly a year due to the pickpocketers getting quite aggressive now. I'm planning on moving to the French or Italian Riviera and I'm doing a scouting trip in a month. I live on about $6,000 a month. Milan is the Manhattan of Italy. If you don't already speak Italian, I would suggest you look into Budapest or Slovenia.
