What is average salary (with accommodation & without accommodation)in Cairo for Process Engineer having 10 year experience
How is life style
#mido on Jul 30, 2014 :
the average salaries is more lower than 2000 and unemployment is very high but if you have 2000-4000 l.e is enough for one month
#Ahmed on Jul 26, 2014 :
I live in a town 60 km from cairo . I pay for rent and utilities about 1000 pounds per month
it rang from 1000 to 2000 for rent and utilities
and you need about another 1000:2000 for living
total from 2000 to 4000 LE per month will be fine
I live with my wife and a baby

That explains why we had a revolution but seems things are getting worse day after day with whopping inflation, power outages, strikes and demonstrations everywhere. As much as I love Cairo but I feel terribly sad to say this truth :-(

Me, my wife and two kids are just living on the mere edge medium level and monthly expenses are around 8,000 LE and the total annual expenses divided by 12 months are not less than 12,000 LE excluding schools. Cairo is within the top 10 crowded, polluted with relatively high level of crimes and for anyone who would consider moving here must be very well compensated by all means not less than 20,000 LE (2,900 US$). I find the numbers here meaningless and makes me suspicious about the accuracy for other cities.

This is crazy !!! from the prices shown here , to live a lower Middle class life for a family of 4 to live in Cairo and pay rent , pay for your food, trasportation , clothing , pay their electrical nill and internet , ..etc they need to earn at least 14,000 LE but yet avrage wages are just over 2000 L.E ????!!! how on earth are most people living there ??
#wendy on Mar 13, 2014 :

tnx in advanced in anyone can help me
#Moe on Feb 01, 2014 :
I find these numbers with a high level of variation in some elements, I highly advice people moving to Cairo to reconsider the numbers more towards the high end due to insane inflation currently exceeding 20%.

I just want to point out that if salary is only average 2000 le per month How can anyone survive living in Egypt seriously. I live here and its really bad business the Egyptians have because of their greed. Raising all prices for everything but do not raise the salary what are you trying to create slavery????
#Shams on Aug 01, 2013 :

#Oana on Mar 04, 2013 :
Can anyone please tell me some approximate prices for traditional women's clothing, cotton preferably ?
#Mariam on Feb 27, 2013 :
A decent pair of jeans is more expensive in Cairo. To get a pair of Jeans from Zara, it's for a minimum of 350EGP out of sale. If you want to buy a pair of jeans at Levi's, the starting price is over 900LE.
#Anonymous on Feb 05, 2013 :
Cori Jane, in which currency? :-) Depends where do you buy it and how much do you negotiate the price
#Cori Jane on Feb 05, 2013 :
