I`m intending to live and attend Engineering school in Aarhus, Denmark for 10 years.Questions:1) HARD TO FIND WORK? 2) COST OF USED CAR (10 YRS.OR OLDER)? 3) PETS IN RENTALS? 4) HOW TO RENT AHEAD OF TIME? 5) COST OF LIVING? 6) CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS(MORMAN CHURCH)? I`d like to offer my thanks for any reply.Best wishes,Bill Henry.

I know a lot of phd students who live in Arhus and do their phd at the Arhus uni. One couple can manage well if you can administrate your money well. even save a little for your travel. Live close to the Uni(within 3 km) so you can walk or bike to the Uni). The other option is buy a monthly ticket for the bus.costs approx. 350 kroners.
Good bus services in Arhus.

Hi - I was in Aarhus for a month. 20,000 DKK will just allow you to make ends meet. Saving potential will be very low. The country and city loves biking, as everyone bikes even an 80 year old.

Generally the expenses are high, especially the rent. Buying a car is tough unless you go for an old 10 year old 2nd hand. Transportation within 10 miles from main city is great, but outside of that can be tough to get around.

Taxes for foreigners will be lower then locals (42%) and can be even lower if you are in the country for few months to 1-2 years (30%). However you'll have cash flow issues initially unless you live really frugally.
