please locate me a showroom / Shop for carpet business OR a Villa on Bole rd anywhere ( near the air Port ) or anywhere near a main rd. where I can live and have a business license to sell my carpets. LONG LEASE only I do not want a short term lease. reasonable Lease please NOT A Luxury at all.. as long as its clean Furnished or not NOT important .... I am not a fool I lived in Addis Ababa Nazerat and debre zeid and Bole for years During the years 2009 -- 2010 and can come and locate it myself but I [refer to have an agent do it prior to my arrival. I am not a Millionairess..!!! and just want to start a business in Addis as a retired man.

I came across this website while trying to figure out a budget to set up a non-profit in Addis. Can someone please help me with the cost breakdown. I need an office space, preferably close to a warehouse (because I will be transporting medical treatments) and is it better to rent a car or just buy one? I am not looking anything fancy, its a non-profit after all. I just want to be in a safe environment, close to the city center, and accessible. Any suggestions? I would really appreciate the help. Thanks.

Why so expensive to buy house in ethiopia than anyother countries?
It should be fair price for everybody specialy for people who has plan to invest on his mother land.

Property owners and real state developers in Ethiopia are simply those peoples with no wisdom, moral and norm. Be educated one or not they are all there to suck money and hide taxes.

The government would have fought them as much as it fight terrorism.

Prices listed hera are absolutely not correct.

A 3-bedroom flat (around 100 m²) newly buildt with good standard cost between 1200 000-2400 000 birr to buy. Theese numbers are 2 weeks fresh and I've looked at the 10 mayor estate agents.

If your happy with simpler standards you can buy a so called budget condeminium for less than half of that price.

Hello there. what is going on in Ethiopia? As commented by one of u here i can buy a four bedroom beautiful house with beautiful garden and views in Southern France or central Rome with 200,000 USD. Ethiopia is not as such a touristic destination or super beautiful destination. Due to some corrupted officials the country's resource went to selected people who make life difficult for the majorities of Ethiopians. I am glad that i do not from Ethiopia. Some Ethiopians can not even afford their daily meal let alone to be the owner of 250,000 use house. Please do not play game with citizen's money. I am sure there is a day for those corrupts to face God's judgement. Shame on U.

Excuse me!!! But i found it hard to believe that a 1 bedroom Apartment cost $420,000. We are talking about in Ethipian not in the South of France were a 3bedroom HOUSE not Apartment cost you twice less than what the bleedy Ethioians as for.

I think this is a total joke to be frank with you. I couild by at least5 houses in the US with that asking price where the house is buit on decent lands.

I do hope the goverment will do something about it. I feel sorry for those ethiopians whom can't affored to buy one.

If you want us to come to Ethiopia and invest, then do something about the ridicules and unheard of asking prices.

Greedy state agents need to be less greedier.

The Ethiopian real estate price is extrmly high comparing to kenya real estate. It is discourage to even look at all. Three bed rooms house asking for $250000.00. Why people even considering to buy in such price

Prices for houses occupied by foreigners around the periphery of Addis are way higher than those mentioned. A three bedroomed house with small garden is unlikely to cost less than $2500 and a larger family house can easily double that. The expat community os so big that landlords are simply pushing prices ever higher. You really need to hunt hard for good value in Bole or Old Airport, the two main ferenji residential areas.
