NHS is the most disappointing health service I tried (and I lived in multiple countries). In the past 3 years I went to them for skin condition, SIBO, lung condition and RSI. I have not received treatment for any of these. Waiting lists are ludicrous, doctors are incompetent and dismissive. Majority of doctors are hired from less developed countries like India and Africa where they got their education before coming to work in UK. That saves NHS money but you get expertise of the 3rd world country. Also, mental health service is so bad, many people have to discharge themselves because it makes them worse. I don’t know where these numbers are pulled from….

I have to agree with the other comment. Honestly only the Brits who have not used healthcare in other developed countries would think the NHS is worth anything. It's "ok" at best. I know of a lot of people traveling abroad to get surgeries or going private in London.

I tried it three times. Three times they failed me. I decided to only go private in London (I know, some will tell you that lots of consultants in private work for the NHS but, miraculously, the quality and efficiency is a LOT better in private).
The NHS tries to save up a lot of money and doesn't seem too concerned to be putting your life at risk to do so. Most of the time, you'll have to cry for months before they do further testing, in the meantime 'take paracetamol, drink tea and rest' whereas in private you'd get an MRI within hours. Ok, it has a price ... so does the NHS through our taxes.

Anyone else saying the opposite, I'd suggest to do your research re cancer survival rates in the UK which is shocking when compared to most developed countries.
