This city is constantly getting more dangerous and viloent!We need to kick these migrants out of the city before its too late!

Answer to Alex.
It's true that the city is getting more dangerous every year but it's mostly because of gang on gang related violence and not so much on regular civilians, and also most of the criminals from the 2021 migrant crisis in Valencia are Algerian not Moroccan which gets people confused, we also have lots of criminals from South America mostly Colombians and Venezuelans and also lots of Romanians which should all get deported but still 77% of the crimes in 2023 we're commited by Spanish civilians (which some of them are not natural Spanish) but still almost all violent crimes I have seen in the last years we're young Spanish because of gang violence.

I say this not because I'm the stereotypical woman that defends migrants at all coast, like I said all foreign criminals should be deported, I say this because A LOT of young Spanish including middle class ones are getting in this Gang Culture mentality everyday because of lots of factors including Music that promotes and glamorizes this Narco culture and tracks uneducated kids just like in USA, which is even worse than foreigners commiting most of the crimes like in Barcelona because the Spanish criminals can't get deported and this problem will still be a problem for the next years if education doesn't improve regardless of the economical situation of the city.

It used to be super safe 10 years ago but ist constantly getting worse and worse.Many young people on the streets alaways try to start an argument with random people for no reason whatsoever.They awlays act that what they are doing is right,but it isint.This city is also destroyed by immigrants many morrocans have been mugging people,have been trying to break into people s houses,have used or dealed drugs and many more crimes.This city is not that safe aymore sadly.

Crime perception has increased a lot because of the terrible violence of some new street gangs but still is a safe city since they don't target civilians not even tourists, if you mind your business and you don't get into messy stuff like drug dealing you will be more than fine, it's not like UK or France where you're constantly scared of random crime like getting stabbed for no reason

@Anonymous

Ridiculous messages here about homicides and crime. Valencia has like 30 times less homicides than cities in North and South America.
Anonymous on Nov 02, 2023:
Whoever is in charge of this has to update the situation of the city because homicides (90% gang violence) and car theft is increasing fast. Valencia is not anymore what it used to be 5-10 years ago so I don't know what Pol is talking about the city being "very chill" when soon it will be the most criminal city in the country because crime here is already way more deep than illegal immigration or crackheads harrassing tourists like Barcelona. I don't want to give this city a bad image but this is the reality and it's not changing to better...

I'm really curious how these numbers are justified. Among Erasmus Students almost everybody knows someone who either got mugged or pickpocketed. Especially at the beach and in the parks, pickpockets during the day, groups of men with knives during the night. Compared to living in Germany this feels like outlaw country, I've had 2 dangerous close encounters myself this month, and have spoken to more police than in my entire life before.
Pol on Sep 18, 2023:
The only dangerous neighbourhoods in Valencia is Malvarrosa because of local and romanian family clans shootings and kidnaps, the rest of the city is very chill and the worst thing that can happen is pickpocketing and is not even that common

much better than Barcelona ;)

The town is a lot safer now they opened the brand new homeless shelters.

Of all the cities I've been to in Spain, Valencia is definetely the safest and cleanest one
Benicalapero on Sep 01, 2022:
Valencia is a safe city even in the worse neighborhoods, way better than in the 90’s and 2000’s when it was easy to get robbed by the unspoken ethnic minority. Your bicycle can be easily stolen as the helmet of your bike. I get robbed 2 times when I was 16 and since then I never had a problem. Pickpocketing can happen as well but I didn’t heard many cases. Quite chilled place but lot of homeless and poor people sometimes around

As someone who has been mugged 3 times this year (June 2022) makes me feel that this is fake, Valencia is no near as safe like Numbeo says, and if this is true i don't wanna know nothing about Barcelona or other cities
