Numerous cases of violent mutilation per year, high level of corruption, plenty of drug dealers, a lot of scammers in the downtown that sometimes rob their victims, ubiquitous weirdos on PABS… Still you’ll feel quite safe almost in any part of the city during any time:))) I have no clue how this works

Great city, very friendly people, much safer here than NYC! Most violent crimes committed by muslim population here, they cant seem to integrate with any culture on Earth!

I advise you not to risk visiting Russia because the Russian people are racist, barbaric and very savage, Russia is a country of prostitution, crime, corruption and racism, and these characteristics are unique to Russia without other European countries.

I visited this city a certain time back but i felt very safe. (Safer than in most European cities i visited such as Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels) Some caution should be taken regarding to the nightlife because drugging or extortion occur. Police isn't very reliable as well.

Yes, St. Petersburg is harmful, but nevertheless it is less harmful than another Russian city. This is what is happening in Russia.

Russia is not a good country to visit and Russian people are not a good people to be treated with them.

Whoever wants winter tourism instead of visiting Russia, he will visit Finland or Norway. Helsinki and Oslo are much better than all of Russia.

Russia is a country mired in poverty, corruption and racism, and its people are selfish, barbaric and thirsty for bloodshed.

@ForeignerLivingINRussia is spreading lies about country. Police is not corrupt, this times have gone, and is effecient (state gives much money for police), also muggings and robberies are way lower than in any big western european city. Nazi is also not a thing, there are strong anti-extremism laws against them, even post in media is considered crime.

Guys st. Petersburg is quite safe. On national level it is even slightly lower, and a little safer than Moscow, especially at night. But beware of some mafia gang and sketchy people. In 90% of the time, these organized gangs won't even talk or engage with you. However some members mug people, locals and tourists many times and throw slurs. Also there are racism and police is not very efficient but waaay better than other police in other russian cities. Apart from that enjoy
