I am a financial analyst from Dubai, visit Karachi often because its the financial hub of Pakistan. I have to say, i travel around South East Asia often (Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Maldives, but Karachi is by far one of the worst cities I have ever been to, or maybe one of the worst in the world. i HAVE been warned about high levels of crime, been pick pocketed, not many women walk around, it just feels really weird and unsafe.

Karachi is becoming dangerous day-by-day because of political/sectarian reasons. There is proxy war going on b/w several agencies of the world like many other cities of the world, Karachi is going through it's darkest age. Hopefully it will get well in future and I hope that when these whole political shits will die then no one can stop this city to become the largest metropolitan city of the world.

Karachi is so dangerous but people keep coming.statistic reveal it has gained 10 million people in last 12 years.never in the history of mankind 10 million people has increasews in a city in a span of 12 years.karachi is now home to more than 20 million people.and median age is 25.mostly young men with no roots in the city.karachi gdp is over 100 billion officially and almost the same as underground black obviously crime will happen.but people keep movin in,so the question is if it so hellish why is growing so fast.also don't forget rio johanasburg, many latin American cities and LA and NYC of 80s
