Crime in Amsterdam, Netherlands

It is such a shame what's been happening to Amsterdam. I myself have dealt with a lot of sexual harassment in various areas and do not feel safe in Amsterdam anymore, and recently I was helping yet another woman who constantly deals with the same things - like me, it's almost always by certain types of immigrants. If she tries to speak up brainwashed bullies will also harass her, so she feels really alone. I hope I've provided enough resources to keep her from developing PTSD, but at this point the only thing she can really do is leave. Europe is done.

White female, 31 yrs old. Living in Amsterdam for 7 years now, safe and sound. Can't believe the negative bs people post here. It is a very busy town with lots to do, easy to meetup with new people and yes, for a big city it is very safe, compared to other major cities.

If you search for "sexual harassment in Amsterdam" you'll come across stats showing only part of the problem, because the reality is worse but we're not allowed to talk about it OR people, even women, will straight up deny it or will excuse the criminals because they're foreign.

The questions above worry about diversity but make no mention of women's safety because they do not care about what happens to us, reflecting perfectly the attitude of Dutch government and authorities alike, not to mention many Dutch people, too, including women, mind you!

If you're a woman in Amsterdam you need to be careful and if you're attractive you have to be VERY CAREFUL. The ones saying nothing ever happens to them must be unattractive or maybe they live and remain in fancy, all-white areas from where the criminals are kept out.

I'm a woman and have been victim to multiple crimes in Amsterdam, several women I know have, too, and men I know have, too. From sexual assault to burglary and armed robbery, the situation in Amsterdam has become unbelievable. It's like the government is working overtime to make this city a third world hell hole.

Amsterdam is no longer safe due to mass immigration. The city's a lot more like a north African ghetto than a European capital. It's sad and infuriating to see this and to know it's done on purpose.

Dude yesterday on 28. August 2021 at evening not even dark on Haarlemmerdijk street five african kids dressed like street ghetto kids, you know, standed infront of a house and a old woman went inside and two of them followed her!!! Three of them were standing outside watching. They realized we watched and one of then started whistling at us and yelling. We walked fast as possible because we realized what was going on but I hope nothing happened to her :(

I saw that a young guy (curly black hair, a light tan, I think a Morrocan) shoots another person in the chest. I was so afraid that I didn’t know what to do, so i just took a cap to my hotel.
It was at the west part of Amsterdam tho.
