Everybody is faking nice, crazy living cost, raining from january to may, immigrants, unaffordable housing and huge amount of bad teens. idk how you guys let those people in some of them don’t speak any english. i went my high school here and this place is kinda incomplete. drug issue. i don’t really have a positive view for this place. only good thing is the skytrain

They can't even handle the pandemic when they're among the worst hit nations recently, because they're incapable to deal with sanitary measures in a long term. Them judging political affiliations from other countries when they can barely help them to support their views, no wonder Mexico opted out of the 2022 Americas Summits meetings in the USA because the latter doesn't shut its mouth on foreign affairs.

To the immigrant haters down there in the comments... Crime stats do not reflect the reality of increasing immigration. For your information most of the crime in Vancouver arise from organized crime represented in south-asian and east-asian gangs, and another chunk comes from homeless junkies which 95% are white Canadian-born. The issue here is not the number of latino immigrants rising, but the amount of ignorant fools like yourself that live in a bubble of lies under your white privilege, without realizing you are the actual problem to fix: junkies, consumers, overdosing, trump-sucker white trash idiots. Latinos are a hard-working race that is willing to take the jobs you don't even like to do, and then we are being constantly framed and criticized for taking "your jobs". So what is it then? taking your jobs or increasing crime, because last time I checked one cancelled the other...

There seem to be more and more Hispanics people in Vancouver.
You can hear Spanish language being spoken everywhere in the streets.
It seems a very high percentage of the people living here are Latino, and increasing fast.
Vancouver is being severely Latinized from central and south american countries such as the dangerous El Salvador.
There are so many 'refugees' from Latin America.
Somebody said below: "Crime rate in Vancouver has been steadily rising since 2016. We have seen 8% jump from 2018 to 2019, violent crime rate also rising fast."
This may have to do with the large increase in Hispanic population.
The Latinos are a very dishonest and violent people. They steal and kill.
Latin American countries have the highest murder rates in the world.
Canada and USA are game over because they are so much invaded by Hispanics.
Vancouver don't have the black problem but it does have a very serious Hispanic problem.

Vancouver is fairly safe, but they do have east hastings. East Hastings is only somewhat dangerous, but it's extremely extremely disturbing.

If you're offended by what you see it may be best to not travel anywhere. Vancouver is about as safe as any city on earth. Use common sense and you'll be fine. Aside from Canadian Trump worshippers people are kind and sane.

Crime rate in Vancouver has been steadily rising since 2016. We have seen 8% jump from 2018 to 2019, violent crime rate also rising fast. Among violent crimes, sexual assaults and assaults are the most significant, meaning Vancouver is becoming more and more dangerous for our women. Yet there are fucked up people calling for defunding of the police and even abolishment of them. We need to increase funding for the police to properly deal with crimes. Most thefts aren't even reported because police don't do anything for values under $5000. But 5000 is a big money for many people. Who is there to protect innocent hard working citizens? Why do liberals want to protect criminals over innocent people? It's fucked up. I am voting Trump 2020 and for Conservatives in Canada.

Often the people who look shady are so out of it that they won't touch you. East Hastings looks terrible but Ive never had any problem there. The druggies and schizophrenics look so spaced out they are in another world and probably won't harm you. There are always exceptions to the rule of course.

Lots of exaggerations here, Vancouver is extremely safe especially compared to most cities in Europe and the United States. Even Paris is worse.
