that's kind of messed up @Ron pl do not appreciate what you have to say about Africans. if you do not have anything nice to say leave unsaid, because i am from the Blackfeet reservation in Montana we do not discriminate pl because of their history. thanks just saying..!!

A great article on the cost of living in Alaska 2014 by niels fried. http://laborstats.alaska.gov/col/col.pdf

As far as the cheapest apartment rentals for a two bedroom I would try amber ridge at about $985 plus elec/water. Country Lane is about 1,025 plus water only. Park plaza is nicer but its $1,220 plus elec/water all the rest are going around that $1,200/month or more for the two bedroom. Your best bet is too look for a small condo or house to rent but thats going to run $1,500 plus. IF you are looking for a three bedroom, you can try conifer grove at $1,300 plus water/elec, sliver ridge at $1,465 plus water/elec or legacy west at $1,325 plus water/sewer/refuse. Stay away from anything in the mountain view or fairview areas. Try to rent in Southside if you can although it will be a small drive to work in the midtown area.

Rylie, if this is your first move to AK, most will advise Anchorage as its amenities are the most similar to the lower 48.
#Rylie on Aug 11, 2014 :
Haha oh my god. That was funny but in all seriousness I'm moving to Alaska and want to know what city would be best for a small family it might be two or three of us. I need to know
#Austin on Jun 17, 2014 :
