dear all
i am living in islamabad since 3 years.the prices given are very high as compare to actuall ones.
#Ashfaq ALI on Apr 21, 2014 :
@ Arafa, Bahria is the best option. So far the comments of other friends, i dont agree at all. Every one has a different style of living and they can manage the expense with their monthly income. If you have more income you can live in pooch area but there is also good living palaces for low income peoples e,g living out of city. see you there....bye
#sohaib on Jan 16, 2014 :

And fir sister syeda. If you owe ur own house. 1 lakh (1,000$) is enough for you here if you want to spend a high middle class life. Thee are excluding fee of schooling which depends but range is 6,000 to 10,000 per month for one person.
#Ibrahim Khan on Nov 07, 2013 :
lHello. Lol i just read the above comment. A sister is asking for help and as usuall being a pakistani. Drop me an email. Hahahaha. Idhar bhi line mar rhy hn. See I will make it very easy for you. If you want to switch to pakistan no doubt Islamabad is going to be the best choice I suggest. Now if you have enough money so that you can buy a home say like 5 marla. You need to have maximum 10,000 dollars. You will be having an awesome home note a flate or apartment. After that if you 50,000 to 60,000 rupees are alot for a married couple and you going to live a good life in this. Excluding ur house rent and schooling expanse. I would say 50,000 to 60,000 rupees are enough. Schooling fee if you calculate hughest its 6,000 to 10,000 per month. But sister if your income is 1 million rupees. Still at the end of the month you will be having nothing. And if its 25,000 the same situation at the end of the month. So, it depends upon u as well. But as u said u are living in foriegn country so the amount i told you is the reasonable amount for one month. And please if u plan to come here plz dont trust anyone. Thats advice for you. May you be safe. Stay blessed.
#WahidUK on Oct 21, 2013 :
Hey... What's to complain about? Everywhere is really expensive at the moment. I live in UK and my basic costs are like £2,500 per month. That's over 4 lakh rupees per month. This includes bills, food, house, car, fuel, etc. Life is tough wherever you are.
#syeda on Sep 17, 2013 :

Prices told by zaheer shahzad are way more exaggerated then the actual ones, apart from property eating out for a single person a handsome meal at a nice place is maximum $5 nd at an awesome restaurant with continental dishes would b around $15...similarl cinema ticket at best cinemas are around $4.rent of houses in some posh sectors of islamabad are no doubt around $3000 to $5000 but u can get a very beautiful newly built house at a place like bahria town in around $250.
#arafa on Jun 16, 2012 :
gosh...... im thinking of moving to islamabad maybe at the end of the year and wondering will it be worth the move from uk to pakistan....pls advise which area would be safe ideal economically habitable and adaptable to live in with my 5 year old son.
#zaheer Shahzad on Jun 08, 2012 :
Only land price in Isamabad is Avrage (5000 Sq Ft )= 240,000 USD
Cheapest is 180,000 USD.
Average meal in hotel where you can sit inside airconditioner = 15 USD
Cinema Ticket 10 USD
Shoes 20 to 100 USD
Dress Shirt 20 to 50 USD.
A quality up to International standars is higher than NY,USA & London.
Sure lower than Luanda.

#Zaheer Shahzad on Jun 08, 2012 :
This is amazing if it works as per above calculation.
Home price is more than UK in Islamabad. Check E-7 / F-8 / F-6 even prices in Rawalpindi are too much. Salaries calculation is high , Average is 200 USD/ Month. House rent in Islamabad is not less than 1000 USD/Month. Price of one home in Islamabad E-7 is more than 2Million USD. If they sell 10% land in Islamabad they can get more than 10 Billion USD and pay back all IMF loans in one week.
Food Cost you have calculated in Average Hotel is very low , one time meal in avrage restaurant is not less than 10 USD.
To live with one 1500 CC car , 3 kids in School , After paying all bills having AC in each room will cost you a life more than 4000 USD a month.
If you need any information just drop me mail.
But these calculation are very low as low as lower class people in society.

Zaheer Shahzad Malik.

This is not realistic. Even here with average salary of $1200/month survive with difficulty when they live on a rented house.
#vas kakoma on Nov 20, 2010 :
How the people survive on 140$ salary when the rent and electricity costs more then 300$ per month( Minimum)
