Will anyone suggest me how to find accommodations, part time job for myself and full time job for my spouse. He is an automobile expert evaluator as well as sales guy. What will be our future prospects after two year of our visa?

which place good to study MBA ...in which Australia or New Zealand
#Nigel on Feb 08, 2015 :
Also a note to my previous post, if you are coming to New Zealand as a teacher, please be aware that New Zealand is currently experiencing a large surplus of teachers, so the job market is not ideal for this profession at the moment. But then again you may be very well qualified and land a job easily. But you have been warned!
#Nigel on Feb 08, 2015 :
It depends on which city you are going to live in. If you want to live in Auckland, be prepared to be shocked by the cost of rents and houses. In Auckland, you really need to be in a profession of some sort (teachers included) taking home at least $700 per week after tax to live a comfortable lifestyle. Of course your definition of comfortable may be different from mine. But for me its the ability to eat out at least twice a week, own a decent car, pay my bills on time, have a house or apartment to my self and have at least $100 left over each week to save. The $700 figure may seem high, but if you come as a couple or split costs with a room mate you may be able to get by on less.

Other parts of New Zealand are much cheaper because rent and housing generally is a lot cheaper than in Auckland.
#Sam Samson on Jan 23, 2015 :
Can you do it... of course you can... it ain't cheap .. but you're living in a beautiful little island tucked away in the South Pacific.

For the low budget minded - here are some estimates...

Weekly outgoings/costs (approximates) :
One Bedroom Flat $300 per week
Food $140 / water $20 / Electricity $13 / Gas $9 / public transport $35

Total NZD$517.00 per week

If you share your house and bills you can halve this amount

If you know where to shop and do your own cooking then you should be able to halve the food costs too

I see figures are accurately mentioned on this website.

Cheers
#anonymouscomment on Oct 17, 2014 :
Hmm I think this is probably quite accurate. Fantastic website numbeo is. Robertfrombulgaria yes NZ is expensive, especially Auckland, and its BECAUSE of the high quality of life that it is expensive. That comes at a price. Auckland is consistently ranked among the top cities in the world. That comes at a price. Other top cities like Vancouver are enormously expensive because everyone wants to live in these cities.

#Bob on Jun 06, 2014 :
Newzealand is very expensive! Being a kiwi myself, we had to leave. Barely making it from month to month as professionals was very difficult
#addi on May 10, 2014 :
Hello

I plan to come new Zealand as a student, my question is can I earn $1700 per month?
#Robert from Bulgaria on May 09, 2014 :
I am shoked of the figures. Can't be that bad!?Bulgaria,65-th rated in the world, according to the quality of life, currently I reside,as a teacher(2500NZ$,after tax)pay 3-4 times less in comparison to what kiwis do.Check this out,all in NZ$:
Home Internet-17,65 Mbps
Mobile,data plan incl.(350min.EU calls and int.-20
Rent(3bed flat)-400
Public transport-0,60 ticket
Taxi-20(20km ride)
Petrol-2,70(same price as NZ)
Beer-1,00(market),2,00-bar
Dinner-50,00(for 4 in restaurant)
Wine-12,00(in restaurant),5,00(shop price)
Dentist-30filling,100-crown,300 denture,300 teeth whitening
Fitness membership-30
Car wash-20
Cinema-8(2/3D)
My car(Kia Carnival van,second-hand,6 years,executive)-5000
Cigarettes-4
100000 russians bought properties in Bulgaria and 80 000 Brits.
So,it looks like to me the poorest EU country offers better quality of life than NZ
#Davey on Feb 11, 2014 :
Ignore the first commenter - most kiwis not on the minimum wage easily have $100 per week (400 per month) left over after essentials. Its just that most kiwis then choose to spend their extra cash, giving the impression we dont have a lot of cash. Most of us kiwis dont know how to save...
#Orson on Jul 28, 2013 :
The NZ figures are severely under-estimated, in some case by 150% or more a simple search of the local internet for data plans, food prices, petrol prices, house costs will show you that someone is cooking the books. The average kiwi hasn't got $400 per month in their pocket after expenses.
