This is really great site, gives lots of insight for R2I people, one thing what i see missing from family perspective is School fees and College fees i guess this is one more major component. Hope you will be able to add this.

Thanks.
#vinod on Dec 27, 2012 :
The cost of one way ticket for govt run buses like bmtc is 8 rupee one way/like per zone and increases accordingly.
#by on Nov 10, 2012 :
Taxis.... 500-550rs for 4 hours and 40Km's 100Rs. for each hour over, unless it is 8 hours, then it is 1000 for 80Km's There is a different deal if you want longer trips, or overnight. Short trip taxis are harder to find, best to take the 3 wheelers, and the price varies greatly depending on your ability to speak Kannada.

#Kannadiga on Apr 09, 2012 :
Most of the data provided looks o.k. However, renting could be bit more expensive, I would say $600-650. Also, occasional medical expenses (docot fees + medicines)could add another $5-7 per on an average per month considering there is no free health care system in India. Any major health issues can be heavily expensive.
#Murphy on Apr 04, 2012 :
My son is going to Bangalore for a couple of years and this is helpful information. Thank you.
#Shiv on Mar 28, 2012 :
Very gud site .. gives almost accurate data ...
#Judge judi on Mar 10, 2012 :
India should not be compared with west. Indian culture, living condition,
medical facility and all are very different. Why should cost of living should
be comparable with the west? We know that the Indian politicians are but of joke, they are blinking how to cope up with the young generation and run the country. India lost its colors, long time back.
#Khwaja on Nov 21, 2011 :
This site is awsome. The data is quite correct.
#Kurumbann on May 07, 2010 :
