This is pretty accurate however as a local you can always find ways that are cheaper than stated here.
-Tennis courts don't cost anything or if so, you would be in a club. No cost since we have a ridiculous amount of parks and schools around.
-A monthly pass for a Gym is NOT 75 for an adult. It is more like 20 to 75 $
-A pair of leather shoes is NOT 120 $ You can find a normal pair of leather shoes for around 80 $.
-We've adapted an american lifestyle. Buying milk in 1 L portion is not smart. A 2L or 4 L is worth more of your value ( Of course some can't drink it all) however a 4L is 4.69$ (dont go to thrifty foods)
-AGAIN Internet through SHAW ranges between 20$ to 100$ with most people getting a plan around 40$ a month, NOT 75 $
- We hardly sell bottled water especially some around .33L. Any grocery store will sell each bottle for less than a Dollar FOR SURE. Nestle 24 Pack of Water 6 $. Safeway, Safe on ETC
-If you happen to be poor enough to use Local transportation , BUY A BIKE. Local transportation is in fact truly expensive and useless as it does not come on time ( or just have a car).

Canadians don't live like kings. A socialist system in Sweden Norway Denmark has a Much easier time living off of MINIMUM WAGE. With very little education or almost just a certificate, you can have a higher paying job and live much easier. There are many jobs that pay well if you look hard enough.. Just not on Vancouver Island!

You people are really out to lunch, saying the cost of living did not go up last year, what world do you live in. Everything here has gone up considerably.
